The Memorial Men tells the story of the fallen of the Great War from Albrighton and Donington parishes. Most, but not all, are found on the ten ‘memorials’ to the dead of the War found locally.

The book is richly illustrated with photographs and documents and provides a context to the actions of the men and their biographies. In addition the connection between the village now and the Great War is made through a chapter on artefacts provided by current residents of the village.

The story behind the creation of the village war memorial is also revealed in the book.
